South Dakota State Newspapers Search Form

Use this form to search for newspapers that were published in the state of South Dakota. You can search using as many or as few criteria as you want. Be sure that a field is blank if you do not want to enter it as a search criterion. To see a listing of all newspapers, leave all the fields blank. By only specifying a year, you will see all the newspapers for which we have coverage from that particular year. If you do not see a newspaper for the specific town in which you are interested, consider expanding your search to the full county, as many newspapers carried news from nearby towns.

If you see a roll you are interested in accessing, you can either submit a research request and have a State Archives staff member do the search, or request the rolls through inter-library loan.
