2013 History Awards

The 2013 Governor’s Awards for History were presented May 4 at the annual history conference of the South Dakota State Historical Society in Rapid City. Winners included, seated from left, Jim and Peg Aplan of Piedmont, Individual; Judy Curran of Mobridge, representing the Klein Museum in Mobridge, Organization; and Sandra Jones of Wessington Springs, Teacher of the Year. Not pictured is Teresa M. Houser of Omaha, Nebr., Herbert S. Schell Award for best article in South Dakota History.
