October 3-Lilah Pengra: "The Stories Behind the Story." Author Lilah Pengra will tell the audience stories about her experiences while conducting research for her recent book, Sarah Campbell: The first white woman in the Black hills was African American.

October 10: Lori Orser "Searching for Spooks: Researching Ghost Stories " Author Lori Orser will give a presentation on her recently completed book, Spooky Creepy North Dakota and her research on the upcoming South Dakota version

October 24-Norma Kraemer: "Finding South Dakota's Aviation History " Norma will share her experiences and stories about research which resulted in her recently released book,
South Dakota ’s First Century of Flight. In addition to Norma’s presentation, excerpts from two Division of Aeronautics films will also be shown. Two films in the archives collection were recently sent to a conservator for cleaning, repair, and conversion. The 1952 emergency hay drop has some great footage of dropping feed to stranded cattle and aerial views of the Pierre area inundated with flood waters. The 1955 film shows footage of an emergency practice air drop of supplies and contains an interview with the pilots and Governor Joe Foss.
