State Historical Society presents
2014 Governor’s Awards for History
The South Dakota State Historical Society, headquartered at the Cultural Heritage Center in Pierre, presented the 2014 Governor’s Awards for History on April 5 during its annual history conference in Pierre. Award winners included, seated from left, Thea Miller Ryan, director of The Outdoor Campus in Sioux Falls, an organizational winner; Outdoor Campus staffers Shelly Pierson and Hilary Fernholz; Rea Weyrich of the Whitewood Public Library in Whitewood, another organizational winner; Steve Olson of Watertown, History Teacher of the Year; and Barbara Johnson of Aberdeen, individual winner.
