2015 Governor’s Awards for History
The 2015 Governor’s Awards for History were presented on May 30 by Jay D. Vogt, Director of the South Dakota State Historical Society, standing left, and David Wolff, Vice-President of the SDSHS Board of Trustees. Winners included, seated from left, Nathan Johnson of Yankton (on behalf of Fraser Harrison of England), Schell Award for best article in South Dakota History; Jean Kessloff of Rapid City, Individual; Harold Schuler of Tucson, Ariz., formerly of Pierre, Robinson Lifetime Achievement Award; Joseph Muller of the Mammoth Site in Hot Springs, Organization; and Arlo Levisen of the Grant County Historical Society in Milbank, Organization. Not pictured is Jennifer Phillips of Lincoln Elementary in Aberdeen, History Teacher of the Year.
