• Preservation activities within the community with special emphasis on the Keystone Museum:

– Historical classrooms from the late 1890s

• Sponsoring the “Living History School” every May with the local retired teacher group
• The museum was the local school from 1900-1982, a Victorian Schoolhouse on the National Register of Historic Places
• The Langer Rock Collection and mining displays
• Historical walking tour:

– History is presented including the Gold Rush from 1876 through the making of Mount Rushmore
