 Activities:
The society is a non-profit, privately funded corporation, administered by a 9-member elected board of directors. The society has nearly 400 members.
 • Operation of the Timber Lake & Area Museum
 • Many permanent exhibits at the new 9,000 square-foot museum building opened in 2001, including:

– Traditional Indian Clothing & Arts from the Cheyenne River & Standing Rock Indian Reservations
 – Marine & Dinosaur Fossils
– Historical Photos
– Ever changing temporary exhibits
 • A gift & bookshop specializes in Frontier Life, Indian Culture and Local History
 • Historical programs, fossil field trips, and tours
 • A large collection of local photos, archives and genealogical material, at the new Historical Resource Center

Free admission, with Summer hours: 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Monday – Friday, weekends by appointment
Fall and Winter hours vary, but always open by appointment
