America's 250th

What

The U.S. Semiquincentennial Commission was established by Congress to inspire all Americans and each American to participate in our greatest milestone ever — the 250th anniversary of the founding of the United States.

America 250's Role

State partnerships
America's 250th, The Semiquincentennial Commission’s non-profit partner, is encouraging each U.S. state to form its own America's 250th entity to plan for the nation's 250th anniversary.

Over the next four years, America's 250th will work in full partnership with each state and territorial entities to facilitate coordination and collaboration, and to ensure the broadest possible participation and visibility during this historic commemoration.

Our work will extend over a multiyear time with its crescendo reaching its peak on the Fourth of July 2026.

Tribal Partnerships
America's 250th honors the unique government-to-government relationship between Tribal nations and the United States, and we commit to partnering with Tribal nations and organizations.

America's 250th will collaborate with Tribal organizations, nations, and communities to engage with America’s complicated past, understand our present, and envision our future together as we build toward 2026 and beyond.
