For the Northern Region (see map above) works with State and National Registers of Historic Places, certified local governments, Deadwood Grant assistance, historical markers, and other historic preservation matters in the region. Is also acting as a Review and Compliance Archaeologist under Section 106 of NHPA (federal) for archaeology for the following agencies; USFWS, USACE, WAPA, BHNF, BOR, BIA, CGNF, DPG, NNFG, NPS, VA, PUC, BLM, FEMA, and EDA. Katie is also the current Treasurer of the Oahe Chapel Preservation Society.

Architectural reviewer for federal (Section 106) and state (SD 1-19A-11.1) review and compliance projects. For the West-Central Region (see map above) works with State and National Registers of Historic Places, certified local governments, Deadwood Fund Grant assistance, historical markers, and other historic preservation matters in the region. Duncan is also the reviewer and point of contact for the Federal Tax Incentive program and is the current Vice President of the Oahe Chapel Preservation Society.

Coordinates the State Property Tax Moratorium program, updates the preservation website, manages memberships and subscriptions, handles license plate decal orders, writes press releases, helps coordinate annual Archaeology & Historic Preservation Month (Fourth Grade Student Essay Contest, Archaeology Camp), and assists the SHPO in end of year reporting for the Historic Preservation Fund. Katie is also the current Secretary of the Oahe Chapel Preservation Society and is the point of contact for any questions regarding the Chapel.
